Otter River Resource Center, formerly known as The Sheltered WorkShop of Altavista, has been providing services for people with disabilities for more than thirty years. The mission is to provide quality support, training and employment for people who are disabled in an environment that is nurturing, healthy and safe.

The primary purpose of this service is to provide support that enables the client to attain new skills and/or retain current skills. The service will be determined by the needs and preferences of the client and will be a combination of facility-based and community-based services.
