Services We Provide

Work Adjustment Training - A training program for those consumers who show potential for entering competitive employment.

Medical Waiver Services - A Medicaid funded service for adults which focuses on pre-vocational training and provides support to encourage independence.

Sheltered Employment Services - A center-based program offering training in work and self-help  to increase independent functioning as well as earning income.

To provide these services:

SWA receives primary funding from agencies that recommended clients who qualify for the Workshop and for which the sponsoring agency pays a fee for services provided.

These Virginia agencies include area schools, Community Services Boards, the Department of Rehabilitative Services, the Department of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, and the Department of the Visually Handicapped.

The remaining operating expenses are paid by revenue realized from our business contracts.
